Director: Ryan Wells

The Center for Student Success Research (CSSR) facilitates research, evaluation, and organizational assessment aimed at promoting postsecondary access and success for underrepresented and understudied student populations. Specifically, the work of the CSSR focuses on populations that are often excluded from existing research—including students with disabilities, students enrolled in sub-baccalaureate education, students from global diaspora populations, students in post-conflict zones, and first generation college students—using multiple theoretical and methodological perspectives. As a key hub of expertise and resources, the CSSR pursues grant-funded opportunities to further research in these areas.

Affiliates of the CSSR include faculty, researchers, institutional leaders, and practitioners at UMass and beyond interested in generating clear recommendations for student success in scholarship and practice.

Please see the CSSR website (https://www.umass.edu/education/center/student-success) for more information about the center.
