Asymptotic Hodge theory and applications

Javier Alejandro Fernandez, University of Massachusetts Amherst

Abstract

In this dissertation we describe the asymptotic behavior of real variations of Hodge structure at infinity. Then we apply these ideas and methods to show the existence of a correspondence between quantum products and certain maximally degenerate variations of Hodge structures. We also apply the asymptotic techniques to analyze the problem of maximal dimensional variations of Hodge structure with constrained behavior at infinity.
