Abstract
It was the original intention of the writer to deal with the males and females of the genus Ichneumon Auct. inhabiting New England. As the work proceeded it was found that the genus contained such a large number of species that it would be impossible to cover so much ground in the time available. For this reason it was decided to omit the females and deal only with the males.
