Abstract

Construction of a pool-and-weir fishway improves fish migration over the No. 7 groundsill of the Ibi River. To facilitate fish attraction, a fish entrance is positioned close to waterfall from the groundsill, and a chute for attraction flow is installed. Three water inlets, varying in crest height, are devised to moderate flow turbulence caused by fluctuation of river discharge. Functions of the fishway are tested through hydraulic model experiments.
