Abstract
This paper presents a summary of the field research for evaluation of the fishway installed at a diversion dam. The fishway is a prototype of the experimental model on which the hydraulics had been studied several years ago by authors. According to the velocity measurements and observation in the fishway, although the velocities are allowable or smaller than the converted values from the previous model experiments and many fishes can ascend the fishway, the heavier mingling of bubbles is existing in the stepped pools and the resting pools so that fish ascending route is limited only in Denil.
