Summary
The average specific resistance of 123 young Pacific salmon and steelhead trout was determined. All species showed an inverse relationship of specific resistance to length and no apparent difference in resistance between species. Within a size range of 50-80 mm the specific resistance ranged from 700-600 ohms/cm3. For larger fish of 80-170 mm the specific resistance values were within the range 600-400 ohms/cm3. The inverse relationship between resistance and length for steelheads and silvers was found to be linear.
