Abstract
This viewpoint addresses accounting treatments that can potentially affect departmental performance evaluation at full-sewice hotels, including breakfast-in-room rates. The authors contend that important interdepartmental conflicts arising from accounting treatments in such properties could be minimized if handled appropriately.
