The Scientific Reasoning Research Institute at the University of Massachusetts Amherst is an interdisciplinary research organization devoted to the study of learning and instruction in the sciences and mathematics. SRRI reports to the Dean of the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics. Members come from and are associated with many disciplines, departments, and colleges on campus, including Psychology, Education, Engineering, Physics, and Biology. The SRRI mission is:
To conduct research on reasoning and cognitive processes involved in the learning of science and mathematics, and To apply these findings to improve science and mathematics education.
