Description

This session will examine the ways in which Mount Wachusett Community College engages students in meaningful community based internships and capstone service learning that contextualizes classroom experiences and facilitates a transition from student to professional. Strategies such as cultivation of relationships with site partners, the development of a mutually beneficial work plan, student mentoring in areas such as resume building, interview skills, 21st Century Workforce Development and other best practices will be addressed.
