Tan Cerca Tan Lejos: A Voice of Mexico in the United States of America
Tan Cerca Tan Lejos. A Voice of Mexico in the USA was a bilingual (Spanish and English) radio show aired by WMUA 91.1FM, the radio voice of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Aside from few special shows, we presented weekly interviews with Mexicans, Mexican-Americans or researchers on Mexican issues.
Through the approach of interviews we intended to show to the Massachusetts and elsewhere listenership that the “distant neighbor” which could be Mexico in the USA is a complicated nuanced, and interesting country.

Aparte de unos pocos programas especiales, se presentaron entrevistas con mexicanas/os, mexico-americanas/os o con investigadores de temas mexicanos
A través del enfoque de las entrevistas, nuestro propósito fue mostrar a la audiencia de Massachusetts y de otros lugares que ese “vecino distante” que a veces es México en los Estados unidos es un país interesante, vibrante, sutil y complicado.
