Over the past year the Wind Rotor Test Facility (WRTF) has undergone major redesign and overhaul changes. New testing equipment has been designed, fabricated, and instal led in order to upgrade the system. The goal of this project was to redesign the data acquisition system at the WRTF in order to facilitate the use of a micro-computer to control both data taking and test control functions. It is believed that the newly installed mechanical hardware and instrumentation will allow the measurement of a broader expanse of rotor related performance characteristics, will provide greater accuracy of measurement and will facilitate the ease of operation and testing procedure.
