Abstract
The study of the subfamily Psammocharinae has formed a portion of the work done by the writer in the Entomological Laboratory of the Massachusetts Agricultural College for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy, under the supervision of Dr. Henry T. Fernald to whom the writer wishes to express his deep appreciation and indebtedness for the kind assistance and encouragement given him. To Dr. G.C.
