Introduction
Dr. Whiteley conducts conservation genetics research primarily on fishes. His research program uses a cross-disciplinary, integrative approach to address fundamental questions in conservation genetics as well as evolutionary biology and ecology. He combines evolutionary genomics, molecular population genetics, quantitative genetics, capture-mark-recapture analysis, field and lab-based experiments, and computational approaches. Dr. Whiteley is particularly interested in using basic research to inform management and conservation efforts.
