I refer to my work as 'Social Expressionism'. I look to the past for visual resources and this exploration has exposed me to the richness, craftsmanship and spirituality of the cultures of Africa and Ancient Mexico. The complexities of the present and the possibilities of the future are also a constant source of imagery, concept and metaphor. The social history and current events of our world are a powerful and compelling source of aesthetic guidance for me, and I use their influence.
