Tania Mitchell ‘05G, Assistant Professor, Postsecondary Teaching & Learning, University of Minnesota Tania D. Mitchell (‘05G) is an assistant professor in the department of postsecondary teaching and learning at the University of Minnesota’s college of education and human development. Much of her research focuses on service-learning as a critical pedagogy to explore civic identity, social justice, student learning and development, race and racism, and community practice. An internationally recognized scholar in service learning and community engagement, Mitchell was recognized with the Early Career Research Award by the International Association for Research on Service Learning and Community Engagement, and her scholarship has been published in books and journals including: Equity and Excellence in Education, the Michigan Journal of Community Service Learning, and Diversity and Democracy. www.cehd.umn.edu/pstl/directory/mitchell.asp
