Abstract
The work presented in this thesis focuses on building mesoscale assemblies by investigating and developing different flow coating methods, and creating double helix transformations. We establish size and geometry scaling for various control parameters of evaporative self-assembly based ‘stop-and-go’ flow coating method, followed by developing a new actuation mechanism for meniscus capillary break. We also create nanoribbon ladder structures that undergo double helix shape transformation upon release into solution. Our findings provide a robust platform to scale up ESA-based flow coating methods and build new exciting structures and possible shape transformations.
