Platforms; the long term sustainability problem: Where will this stuff all live; and how? We've largely solved advocacy, but we're stuck in a technical dilemma. Pay to host with third-parties "dedicated to OER", manage WordPress / other local deployments of technology, or just scan a bunch of PDFs and call it a day. But are these re-mixable? Is it really OER if you need to host it forever and it can go away as resource move? Penn State's HAX Lab seeks to solve the platform problem of OER and the web more broadly. This workshop will start off by explaining briefly what HAX is, why it is different, and how we seek to solve the problem of "Web Ubiquity". From there, we will give a variety of options for building your own online content using HAX, show examples, and discuss the future.
