From introduction: Broad facets of this study include angler success through creel census, the fish population complex and relative abundance, invertebrate community, and water chemistry parameters in the Turners Falls pool or lower reservoir for the pumped storage hydroelectric facility. The study was expanded in 1973 to investigate the same biological parameters in the upper reservoir on Northfield Mountain, and effects of entrainment on fish that may be passed through the system on either a pumping or generating cycle at the hydroelectric facility. It should be recognized clearly that this is a progress report. Any conclusions or inferences herein should be regarded as preliminary and tentative, and subject to revision as more data are collected and evaluated.
