From Memories to Intentions: How Memorable Travel Experiences Enhance Well-being and Drive Future Travel

Citations
Abstract
This study investigates how memorable travel experiences (MTE) influence tourists' emotions, psychological well-being, and future travel intentions, also testing for the potential mediating effects within these relationships. Survey data from 400 Korean participants reveal that MTEs positively influence positive emotions and negatively impact negative emotions, both of which affect PWB. PWB, in turn, is a significant predictor of future travel intentions. Structural Equation Modeling results confirm that positive emotions mediate the relationship between MTEs and PWB, while negative emotions also show partial mediation effects. These findings offer insights into designing tourism experiences that foster well-being, supporting sustainability and growth in the tourism industry.
