Ski Touring Trail Study: A Method for Representing Visual Seq·uence Along a Trail

Citations
Abstract
What recreational skiers see from the trails forms their visual impression of the surrounding countryside. These visual experiences can be broken down into basic elemental components and sketched. By representing the visual sequence along a trail through a series of graphical sketches, one can analyze and compare the aesthetic qualities of different trails. Multiple trails illustrated in this way can be evaluated for their scenic value, allowing for a comparative assessment of their visual appeal.
