Abstract
How do we respond to the challenge posed by our students' fragmented attention spans? To the ubiquity of mediation that increasingly shapes their experiences? This session explores the discovery of one's own presence as a teacher, the interpretation of haptic signals, and the creation of memorable heuristic bridges between abstract ideas and concrete understanding. We will also reflect on taking inventory of the tools at one's disposal in the face to face classroom setting.
