Bringing together educators, researchers and technical experts interested in tourism and recreation, the National Extension Tourism Network (NET) aims to contribute to the long-term economic development, environmental stewardship, and socio-cultural well-being of communities and regions. Research, collaboration and community engagement are key strategies NET uses to achieve this mission. NET seeks to provide stakeholders (e.g., destination organizations) and communities with opportunities for networking and collaboration, platforms for sharing research and outreach resources, success stories, and best practices as well as a forum for other partners to learn about the role NET can play in tourism projects and programs.
