Abstract
This paper describes a downstream migrant diversion screen which is located at the intake to the Robertson Creek spawning channel. The structure consists of two parallel concrete flumes, each fitted with an inclined screen. Ninety-eight percent of the flow passes through the screens and into the spawning channel. The remaining two percent passes over the downstream edge of the screens carrying all downstream migrant fish into a flume which bypasses the spawning channel. The screens are equipped with electrically-driven screen-cleaning devices which collect and transport algae trash into a trash bin.
