This is a foto-novela about a Hispanic family who live in Puerto Rico and the daughter who lives in Northampton, MA. Her brother and sister are in Puerto Rico and cannot find work. They are torn between staying in Puerto Rico with their family and going to the US to find work. They finally decide to come to the US where they also encounter trouble finding work and experience discrimination and harassment by the police.
