Hydraulic analyses used in the IFIM computer programs may not be appropriate for extreme low and high flows. A methodology was developed to describe changes in pool and boulder-rapid fish habitat during extreme high flows. Also discussed was habitat and pool volumes available during low flows which may be limited by water quality.
