This research involves the actual conditions of the fishes' ascent and problems that may arise while facilities established on the fishways. It is time to promote the prefecture, local government, Land Improvement Projects Association (irrigation association) and the fishing industry to cooperate in efficiently enforce the prefecture's plan to not only preserve fishways but also to further preserve the beauty of Gifu's Rivers.
