Abstract

In the springs of 1994 and 1995, surveys were conducted to confirm the state of the fishways at Nagaragawa Estuary Barrage and confirmed that Satsukimasu (Sea-run-form Amago Salmon) travel up the fishways. Amago smolts with marking were also released during November and December of 1994, the state of descending and the state of ascending were surveyed. However, few marked fish could be confirmed so it was difficult to adequately clarify the effect of Estuary Barrage descending and ascending characteristics of Satsukimasu in the current survey.
