Date
1956
Keywords
diversion, downstream fish passage, light intensities, salmon
Summary
None. First paragraph: The investigation of light as a means of controlling the movements of downstream migrating salmon was started in 1952 under the Crops of Engineers program to discover and develop means of safely bypassing the young salmon at dams and diversions. At that time a search of the literature was made concerning the effects of light on fish and their movements. An annotated bibliography was compiled, a review of the literature was made, and proposals for laboratory and field studies were prepared.
