ISSR is based in the College of the Social and Behavioral Sciences. Its mission is to facilitate social science research and methods across the university. By taking guidance from our research faculty's interests and supporting their efforts, the Institute draws its dynamic strengths and directions from the evolving enterprise of contemporary social research.
Our goal is to strengthen existing social science infrastructure on campus in order to promote high-quality scholarship. ISSR supports the methods and training needs of faculty and their graduate students, provides grant opportunities and support, and brokers interdisciplinary collaborations both among social scientists and with other scientists on campus.
