Abstract
We study the predictions of the Weinberg Higgs theory for decays of B mesons, normalizing to the strength of the interaction in kaon decays. The process b→s+gluon is seen to have a lower bound on its branching ratio of about 1% to 15% depending on the masses of the Higgs bosons. This may be directly observable. Partial-rate asymmetries, indicative of CP violation, are large only in relatively rare modes and are no easier to detect than those of the Kobayushi-Maskawa model. However, the pattern of decays in the two models differs.
