Authors hold full copyright in their work, and retain publishing rights without restriction.

Translat Library is an open access journal. Articles are published under a Creative Commons license (CC BY 4.0).

Preservation

This journal’s contents are backed up and preserved by real-time cloud backups provided by bepress as well as quarterly FTP file backups that reside on a server within the Du Bois Library at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. In the event that the journal is no longer published by the UMass Amherst Libraries, ScholarWorks@UMassAmherst will continue to provide access to all previously published content.

Indexation

Translat Library is indexed in the Directory of Open Access Journals, Dialnet, Latindex, ERIH PLUS, and the Modern Language Association International Bibliography. Translat Library is also recognized by the Agenzia Nazionale di Valutazione del Sistema Universitario e della Ricerca (ANVUR) as a scientific journal belonging to Area 10 (Scienze dell’antichità, filologico-letterarie e storico-artistiche).

Submission

We accept submissions in English or a Romance language. Submissions cannot have been previously published, nor be forthcoming or under review, in another venue. Essays will be subject to a double-blind review by two readers. Referees will be members of the advisory board or designated readers with expertise in the field of the submission. Articles will be published open access on a rolling basis within six months from the date of acceptance.

Format

Essays should not exceed 4,000 words in length. There is no word limit for editions, but introductions to those should not exceed the 4,000-word limit. Include a 100- to 150-word abstract and six keywords with your submission. The final version of manuscripts accepted for publication will need to adhere to our formatting guidelines.
