Author Bios (50 Words for each Author)

Jyoti Sood is an affiliate at Arizona State University. Previously, she was Assistant Professor at St. Xavier’s College, India. She has earned her doctorate in tourism from Himachal Pradesh University, India. Her doctoral thesis, explored how an emerging concept of homestays could bring inclusive benefits to rural Himalayan communities.

Deepak Chhabra is associate professor and senior sustainability scientist at Arizona State University. She has worked as assistant professor in universities across USA. She did her Ph.D. from North Carolina State University. Her research focuses upon socio-economic impacts of tourism; sustainable management and marketing of culture and heritage tourism.

Kathleen Andereck is a professor and the director of the School of Community Resources and Development at ASU. She has worked with communities and organizations on tourism planning including developing a vision for the future, tourism resource assessments, visitor management, and marketing evaluation.
