Karla Scott is currently a graduate student at Arizona State University pursuing a Master of Science in Community Resources and Development. Her research interests include sustainable tourism, sustainable festivals and events, and economic impact. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Tourism Development and Management with certifications in special events management and convention sales and meeting planning.

Currently Mrs. Scott is in the process of concluding a 14 month long economic impact and marketing profile study for the Wickenburg Chamber of Commerce. This study will provide insight in regards to economic viability of heritage festivals.
