Session Title
Assessing OER-Enabled Pedagogy from a professorial and a student perspectives.
Session Abstract
In this session, we will discuss the assessment of OER-enabled pedagogy. During the first part of the presentation, students and faculty will introduce the different OER-enabled pedagogy projects they had been involved with. Then, the faculty member will explain how he used the Liberal Arts mission of the university and the commitment toward employability to create qualitative and quantitative assessment tools. Faculty in the audience will be able to adapt the information provided in their tenure and promotion application. From this standardized assessment, students will provide their individual assessments of the educational experience they receive in a course using OER-enabled pedagogy. Finally, we will conclude this session by answering the questions of the audience.
Objectives of the Session
First Objective: Comparing and contrasting the standardized and individualized assessments of OER-enabled pedagogy from professorial and student perspectives.
Second Objective: Help faculty to develop an assessment on OER-enabled pedagogy that they will be able to use in their tenure and promotion application.
