Abstract

In this inaugural event for the UMass Amherst Digital Quadrangle Series – an annual program brought to you by the UMass Amherst Libraries, Office of Research, Center for Teaching, and Graduate School – we will explore the changing nature of the representation of knowledge and how it will impact research and scholarship. NSF Program Director, Chris Greer, will speak about multi-disciplinary digital collections and toolkits for future applications. Selected faculty members will share their experiences of the impact the digital age has had on their research from online journals to implications of open source to new discoveries. The colloquium sponsors will discuss their services in the context of research and digital collections.
