person.introduction<div class="line" id="line-1" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="color: rgb(38, 38, 38); font-family: OpenSans; font-size: 16pt;">&nbsp;</span></div><div class="line" id="line-3"><span style="font-family: Times; font-size: 14.5pt;">&nbsp;I am pursuing a Phd in Language, Literacy, and Culture in the college of Education. &nbsp;My research focuses on language ideologies in the classroom, and their effects on the social and political inclusion of students of immigrant origin in France.&nbsp;</span></div><div class="line" id="line-5"><br></div><div class="line" id="line-7"><br></div><div class="line" id="line-9"><span style="font-family: Times; font-size: 14.5pt;">My recent fieldwork in Paris centered on the experiences of minoritized students in the ongoing protests against labor law reforms, as well as media representations of youth language and culture.&nbsp;&nbsp; Broadly, I am interested in how language is used by dominant institutions to exclude minoritized youth, and how language is mobilized to transgress those boundaries.&nbsp; &nbsp;and create counterpublics.</span></div>
