Abstract
The cosmic matter-antimatter asymmetry and the origin of the mass of neutrinos are two of the questions that the standard model(SM) cannot explain. The study of the possibility of lepton number violation(LNV) will shed light on both of the two questions. On one hand, if LNV process probed by neutrinoless double beta decay(0νββ-decay) experiment exists, this will show the Majorana nature of neutrino masses. In this work, a new physics model with a heavy scalar and Majorana fermion at LHC level will be studied for its contribution to 0νββ-decay with constraints from collider simulation. One the other hand, a TeV level LNV may also falsify the usual vi ultrahigh scale leptogenesis mechanism for baryon asymmetry. The above model is studied to show this point. Another proposed mechanism, electroweak baryogenesis for matter-antimatter requires more CP violation(CPV) source than that current SM can provide. As permanent electric dipole moments (EDMs) of elementary particles and composite systems are good probe for beyond SM CPV, in this work a scalar leptoquark(LQ) model with its parameter constraints from beta decay and collider physics is studied for its contribution to EDM.
