Abstract
In this issue, Paperbark is coming to terms with the fact that a definition can act as a kind of border, a limitation. In these pages, I hope you’ll find that the candor, the leaps, the details, and the stories rightfully challenge the definition of our genre in a wide-reaching, more inclusive way, which captures the penumbral beauty between grieving and joy.
