Abstract

The annihilation contribution to the masses of the JPC=0-+ isoscalars is calculated in the bag model. The resultant mass shift for the η′ is large and positive. For αs=1.15 we obtain mη=0.53 GeV and mη′=0.965 GeV, leading to a good description of pseudoscalar masses within the model.
