The flap gate for fishways in which each fish ladder is operated separately was developed as an accessory facility to the river gate. If a conventional fishway gate is installed in the fishway facility of a dam with a greatly fluctuating water level, dimension enlargement and gate mechanism complexity are among the anticipated problems. We developed a sectory gate type fishway gate by mobilizing the water way itself, ensuring excellent economy and stable function regardless of water level fluctuation.
